Who We Are

Building Mazatlán’s pickleball community through recreational play, lessons, competition, and connection.

Pata Salada Mazatlán Pickleball Club is a local sports organization dedicated to growing and promoting pickleball in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. We provide structured play, training, and competitive opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels, creating a welcoming and inclusive pickleball community in the region.

Activities & Programs

The club provides both recreational and competitive play, emphasizing player development through instruction and organized matches.

Our pickleball academy offers group and private lessons tailored to different skill levels. Beginners learn the fundamentals, while advanced players refine strategy, consistency, and competitive play.

We also support local and regional tournaments to encourage active participation and continued growth of the sport.

Manuel “Mono” Altamirano

Manuel “Mono” Altamirano has been a pickleball promoter in Mazatlán for over five years, playing a key role in the growth and development of this sport in the local community.
 
A certified public accountant by profession, he has successfully combined his professional training with his passion for the sport, leading important initiatives within the club. Among his main achievements is his leadership of the fundraising project for the construction of pickleball courts.
 
Thanks to his management, effort, and commitment, but above all to the great team he has by his side, the club now boasts four permanent courts, fully equipped with lighting, providing a suitable and functional space for players and events.
 
His vision and leadership continue to drive the development of pickleball in Mazatlán, strengthening the sports community and encouraging the participation of new players.

Facilities & Environment

Located on Avenida de los Deportes in Mazatlán’s Tellería district, our courts are inside the Unidad Deportiva SAHOP sports complex.

The outdoor courts provide a welcoming space for training, friendly matches, and competitive play. The location is convenient for both residents and visiting players.

As Mazatlán continues to grow as a destination for sports and wellness tourism, our club plays a key role in expanding access to pickleball in the region.
